Air fryer bourbon chicken

Use this easy air fryer bourbon chicken recipe to make your favorite Asian-fusion mall dish at home with only a handful of ingredients! It features juicy pieces of chicken thighs marinated in a bold and delicious blend of soy sauce, whiskey, and brown sugar. Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken thigh meat cut into bite-size pieces or keep it whole
  • 4 ounces soy sauce
  • ½ cup Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken in the mixture of bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, and spices for 1-2 hours.
  • Place marinated chicken in an air fryer safe pan and cook at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • If desired, thicken the sauce with a cornstarch and water mixture.

Notes

Store leftover air fryer bourbon chicken in the air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can also freeze leftovers. For that you will need to use a special freezer safe containers or plastic bags. Store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Reheat in the air fryer or in the microwave. Do not overheat or the chicken will become dry. Frozen chicken should be thawed in the fridge overnight for best results.
